Our History

Chevron Alarms was founded in 1982 and we are proud of our achievements over this period. We are an independent company run by Matthew Richards, Daniel Bartlett and Phillipe Layden, with the backing of a very keen and reliable team of installation, service and administration staff.

We still consider ourselves to be a local company, based at our modern showroom and offices at Unit 10, Eversley Way, Thorpe Industrial Estate, Egham, Surrey. We cover an area of approximately 30 mile radius from Egham. This takes in West to Central London, the M25 South West, the Thames Valley Corridor, Heathrow Airport, and the majority of Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire.

From our bespoke finished keypads, sounders or panic buttons all the way through to our tailor-made integrated CCTV systems and everything else in between, Chevron Alarms are always trying to strive to be the very best and offer the very best service to all of its new build customers.

With this is mind Chevron Alarms offer a full in-house Computer Aided Design (CAD) service.

We have CAD equipment comprising of a dedicated high end CAD workstation running AutoCAD LT 2010, a full colour 42-inch paper plan printer and a monochrome full size plan photocopier.

This system allows us to take an electronic drawing in virtually any format and superimpose onto it all your proposed fire and security equipment, allowing both you and any other interested party such as your architect or building control officer to have a visual image and record of the project.

File formats supported include pdf, dwg, gif, jpeg, bmp & tiff, among many others.  If you’re not sure whether we can open it then e-mail it directly to us and we will try.  Our e-mail address is simply: –

We can then print out your plans immediately at up to A0 (1189mm x 841mm) in size to allow you to take them away for approval and for our own onsite engineers to have a copy to help install equipment exactly to your specification.
