With the unprecedented situation evolving around Coronavirus and following the statement from the Prime Minister last night, we plan to immediately comply with the measures announced through the closure of our Office as of today Tuesday 24th March until further notice.  For the latest information please check our website regularly.


As the country moves into this next phase in the fight against COVID-19, we ask for your patience while we work to ensure our clients & suppliers are contacted as quickly as possible by our employees working from home in the coming days.


All Preventative Maintenance and Non-Essential works have been suspended until further notice; however, we are working remotely and are still providing response to ‘Emergency’ Break Down calls only.


Emails are being periodically monitored but if you do have an ‘Emergency’ Break Down with your Security System please continue to call us 01784 438822.


We will contact everyone to rearrange cancelled visits once this crisis has passed.

Novel Coronavirus, Covid-19

Dear Customer

With the developing situation around the outbreak of the Novel coronavirus, COVID-19, we have taken a proactive approach in understanding the potential challenges placed not only upon our workforce and their families,  but our also with our supply chain and our customers.

We know that you may be also concerned about COVID-19, the potential impact to you, and Engineering & product availability over the coming weeks and months. I want to take this opportunity to tell you about a number of initiatives that we have already put in place regarding this.

Our Engineers Visits and advice if you are self-isolating

We still want to carry out our preventative & corrective maintenance visits to you, and to do this as safely as possible, so please let us know if you’re feeling unwell or in self-isolation by telling us as soon as possible before our engineer is due to visit. To be on the safe side, our Engineers will be asking everyone they visit to if they’re self-isolating, so please don’t be offended if you’re asked.

Following the Government’s advice on preventing the spread of COVID-19, if you’re self-isolating, our Engineer won’t be able to come into your home and the visit will need to be rearranged.

Lastly, to avoid having to touch our signature touchpad devices, Our Engineer will ask if you’re happy with everything and then sign the docket for you if you request this.

We hope that this information has been helpful and we’ll do our best to keep operating as normally as possible.


Internally to our business: 
As a responsible business and employer, I also wanted to highlight some of the measures that we have taken internally to safeguard our people, their families – and by extension, you our customers as well.

We have issued guidance to all our employees regarding Chevron Alarms stance towards the COVID-19 outbreak. This statement details our duty of care, along with details on how to spot symptoms, and what to do in the case of feeling unwell.

It details what we are doing to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, such as:


  • Hand gel dispensers supplied to every employee,
  • Daily deep clean of our office,
  • Providing masks, as necessary
  • Providing gloves, as necessary


Along with details on behaviour we expect from employee’s at work, largely taken from Public Health England (PHE) or NHS 111 advice:


  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the crook of your elbow (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze,


  • Make sure your workplace is clean and hygienic. Do this by frequently cleaning and disinfecting touched objects and surfaces using the materials provided,


  • Do ensure that you always disinfect your hands every time you leave and enter any premises. Use the Sanitizing gel provided.


  • After using the toilet facilities do wash your hands thoroughly (minimum of 20 seconds) with plenty of soap,


  • Until further notice, avoid shaking hands with anyone. This includes clients, work colleagues and suppliers.


We would encourage you to do the same, and follow guidance issued by PHE or NHS 111 (or relevant health agency in your locale).

Supply Chain:

We have been working closely with our suppliers to manage and mitigate any potential impact to our supply chain. Currently, we do not have any concerns over the supply of equipment through our supply chain.
